Captivated second

And the mouse cursor shivers on the screen

almost resisting the move, almost recoiling from the greed

of its controller,

controlling a laptop it shouldn’t be.

And then the cursor is released

back to the safety of its owner

who didn’t catch the move.

But it can feel its captive freedom.

It’s caged!

The laptop has been hacked.

The tell-tale sign,

In just one second.

Day 4: Seconds

I was scrolling down to read the next line and then my heart thumped because I thought my cursor was moving by itself !! I think you’ve invented a new genre here using computers, poetry and thrills !!

    • Hahaha, thank you!
Yes, I did get the idea from a hacker drama I watched before – it does make you more conscious when you realise it can happen to anyone.
I always have my webcam with a sticker over it, since my mum warned us before 😆
